Job summary

Lomography in Vienna is seeking a motivated person to operate the photo lab at our Vienna HQ, handling the minilab, film development, scanning, image processing and printing.

You will prepare films for partner lab processing, maintain and clean lab equipment, monitor consumables, and assist with testing and development tasks while learning about analogue photography.

Good manual dexterity, detail orientation and clear communication help ensure smooth workflows and independent work in a small team.

• operate the minilab (film development, scanning, image processing, printing)
• Prepare films for partnerlab processing
• research technical lab questions (equipment manuals, process and film specifications)
• suggest improvements to lab workflows
• clean and service the minilab and scanning equipment, including routine maintenance according to manufacturer instructions
• communicate with service technicians
• monitor stock of lab consumables
• check incoming films
• upload scans to the LomoLAB backend
• assist with other tasks during slow periods, such as film and development tests, hand-spooling film and repairs
• basic knowledge of analogue photography
