Mercor is seeking a Private Equity Associate for a remote, part-time engagement focused on Consumer & Leisure transactions across France/Europe. The role asks for 2–4 years in finance, with experience in investment banking or private equity and a track record in consumer/leisure sectors.

Position: Private Equity Associate – Consumer & Leisure (France/Europe)
Type: Contract
Compensation: $100–$120/hour
Location: Remote
Commitment: 20–25 hours/week

Qualifications

Must-Have

• 2–4 years total experience: ~2 years investment banking (Consumer / Retail or generalist M&A — ideally Paris, London, or elsewhere in Europe) followed by 1–2 years in mid-market or large-cap private equity.
• Currently or recently an Associate at a mid-market or large-cap PE fund with a consumer / leisure / multi-site services focus (fitness clubs, owned vs. franchise, multi-site roll-ups); a Paris office or French deal experience is preferred.
• Able to build a financial model from source documents, without a template.
• English-speaking
