Job summary

Bosch is seeking a skilled MES/IT professional for its Engineering Center Linz to drive digital transformation in manufacturing. You will develop, optimize, and pilotMES for near-zero downtime on production lines, while safeguarding IT infrastructure in an automated plant.

Responsibilities include coordinating developers, operations and customer representatives, leading plant-level IT/MES rollouts, and implementing robust ERP connections. English fluency and a technical degree are required.

Qualifications

Several years of professional IT/MES experience in manufacturing or factory production.
Solid expertise in maintaining IT network infrastructure and server management (Windows Server).
Experience with relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle) and data links between IT systems (e.g., Kafka, Solace).
Experience with containerized environments (Kubernetes, Rancher) is a strong plus.
Fluent in English; good communication for technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Develop, optimize, and pilot MES to achieve near-zero downtime on production lines.
Oversee IT and MES topics (Level 2 support) and safeguard IT infrastructure in a highly automated plant.
Coordinate activities between developers, operations, and customer representatives for service deployments and ERP connections.
Lead IT/MES rollouts at plant level and define technical standards and work packages.
Lead problem-solving cases to identify root causes and implement sustainable solutions.
Create training plans and share knowledge to deepen understanding of industrial manufacturing processes.
