Job summary

Bosch Österreich in Linz is seeking an experienced IT/MES professional to drive digital transformation. You will develop, optimize, and pilot MES to minimize downtime, oversee IT and MES operations, and coordinate rollouts with engineering, production and customers.

Ideal candidates have years of IT/MES experience in manufacturing, strong network/server skills, and knowledge of databases and containerized tech (Kubernetes, Rancher). Fluency in English is required.

Qualifications

University degree in Electronics, Telecommunications, Information Technology, or a comparable technical field.
Multiple years of IT/MES experience in a manufacturing or factory production environment.
Solid expertise in maintaining IT network infrastructure, server management (MS Windows Server).
Experience with relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle).
Knowledge of containerized environments (Kubernetes, Rancher) and building data links between IT systems (Kafka, Solace).
Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.

Responsibilities

Develop, optimize, and pilot MES to reduce downtime in production lines.
Oversee IT and MES topics; safeguard IT infrastructure in a highly automated plant.
Coordinate activities between developers, operations, and customer representatives for deployments.
