Johannes Kepler University in Linz invites applications for a full-time, temporary Graduate Teaching Assistant or University Assistant to join the Institute of Structural Lightweight Design. The role involves research in mechatronics for lightweight structures, teaching duties, and supervision of theses.

Salary starts at €3,776.10 gross per month for Diploma/Master level and rises to €5,014.30 for Doctorate level, with 40 hours/week.

Qualifications

• Master or doctoral degree in mechatronics or mechanical engineering.
• Strong knowledge in strength of materials, stability theory, FEM, CAD, lightweight design and composite materials.
• Fluent German and English (B2) with proficiency proof in the application.

Responsibilities

• Research in integration of mechatronic SHM systems for lightweight structures and development of measurement systems and sensors.
• Support with acquisition and administration of third-party funded projects.
• Academic teaching with co-supervision of master’s and bachelor’s theses.
