Job summary

ams OSRAM AG, a leading light-sensors and photonics maker in Austria, seeks a maintenance engineer for production Deposition equipment. You will configure, install, repair, and monitor equipment, and collaborate with the process engineer to requalify systems, ensuring reliability and uptime.

The role requires mechanical/electrical troubleshooting, independent work, on‑call duty, and proactive teamwork. German fluency and good English are essential, with QRQC problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• Completed technical education in engineering fields.
• Experience in engineering, mechatronics, electronics or electrical engineering.
• Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting capability.
• Takes over responsibility, works independently and makes decisions.
• Willingness to learn and problem-solving skills.
• Flexible to changes (including coverage or priorities).
• On-call duty.
• Team player and communicates proactively.
• Apply systematic problem solving (QRQC).
• Fluent in German and good English skills.

Responsibilities

• Responsibility for and development of expertise in the assigned production equipment Deposition
• Configuration and installation of new equipment
• Repair, maintenance, modifications, and continuous monitoring of the equipment, including systematic equipment analysis
• Commissioning and requalification of equipment in collaboration with the process engineer
• Independently resolving issues as part of on-call service
• Leading and participating in improvement projects for optimization/modification of existing systems
• Acting as a liaison with equipment manufacturers and external service technicians
• Collaboration with internal teams (Production, Engineering, Facility)
• Creation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of maintenance plans and procedures
• Documentation of results / preparation of work instructions, training materials, and procedures
• Planning and conducting training sessions
• Spare parts Management
