g2 Recruitment seeks a Lead Plant System Integrator to coordinate hydro power plant electrical, mechanical, and layout systems on large refurbishment projects worldwide. You will drive technical execution, manage interfaces, and ensure on-time delivery while reporting to the Electrical COE.

The role requires a strong leader with at least 10 years in electrical engineering, thorough knowledge of international standards, and fluency in English and German for daily client communication.

Qualifikationen

• University degree in electrical or advanced engineering.
• Minimum 10 years’ experience in electrical engineering.
• Turnkey project experience and project management.
• Knowledge of national/international standards (IEC, NFPA, ANSI, European).
• Strong written and verbal communication and leadership.

Job Description Summary - Lead Plant System Integrator

About Position

The candidate will be responsible for the co-ordination of hydro power plant Electrical, Mechanical, layout systems and BOP equipment's for large hydro and refurbishments projects across the world.

• The Lead Plant System Integrator will be responsible for the project technical execution in bringing together component / product subsystems into a whole and ensuring that those subsystems function together.
• Functional reporting to Electrical COE leader Globally
• EHS: - Implementation/follow EHS policy & procedures for design aspect.
• Responsible for tender support in functional area of expertise

Roles and Responsibilities:

An engineer with strong design co-ordination skills as a Lead Plant System Integrator, you’ll be responsible to:

• Responsible for tender to execution of large/Refurbishment projects for Balance of Plant - Electrical system, Mechanical system and Layout systems.
• Responsible to define the customer (and regulatory) requirements of the project / system and accordingly provide work packages to the CoEs, including the contract and standard requirements, the interfaces, the planning, the quality and the cost as per his/ her scope.
• Is the single point of contact for external and internal customer for his / her scope: Therefore, is the single technical face to the customer - or /and internal or external partner.
• Ensure the On Time Delivery of (her/his scope of) the project, and relevant engineering budget.
• Accept or reject changes in case of deviations from customers requirement, manages changes and issues change (variation) orders. Identify potential opportunities and scope during inspection, surveys and part refurbishment.
• Accept or reject the change in case of deviations from the standards requirement and manages changes and issue change orders in full coordination with technical experts.
• Responsible to provide work packages to the Centers of Excellence for the project including the client requirements, the interfaces, the planning, the quality and the cost as per his/ her scope as sold.
• Drive and pace project gate reviews (milestones) during the whole lifecycle.
• Coordinate and control the interfaces among all project stakeholders as defined in the interface matrix (DoW) and minfex.
• Accountable for the risks and opportunities and margin movement for his/ her scope.
• Manage and harmonize the technical documentation (including KKS/RDS-PP numbering, O&M documents).
• Define the right site survey and pertinent inspections in coordination with site and quality.
• Propose the alternative and the possible optimization at design stage that can impact the design, the supplies or site activities as per the strategy defined by engineering guidelines.
• Deliver specifications, interface data to partners (systems, turbines, generators and civil engineers).
• Responsible of the coordination of the project Drawings and Documents customer validation.
• Receive and coordinate all technical input and feedback to the other parties in the process (design, site, and customer) from start of Basic Design until Final acceptance of Product and including the As Built information.
• Participate to the project weekly review, 6 weeks look ahead.
• Coordinate support for site activities with CoEs and Fleet support (where applicable)
• Manage Feedback of Experience of projects

Required Qualifications:

• University degree in electrical or advance engineering
• Min. 10 years’ experience in electrical engineering
• Experienced in engineering turnkey projects field and project management
• Knowledge of National and International standards i.e. Indian standards/International standards/ANSI/NFPA/Canadian electric standard/European standards
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and leadership

Language Requirements:

• Required: English (Native or Fluent proficiency, written and spoken)
• Required: German (Professional Working proficiency for daily client communication)
• Preferred: Spanish, French (Conversational ability is a plus)
