Job summary

Calmar.vc, based in Vienna, is seeking a technically hands-on engineer to own and evolve our startup financing platform. You will lead architecture and backend, collaborate with our product designer, and work with AWS, PHP/Laravel, Vue.js and Nuxt in a small, experienced team.

You’ll drive automated testing, code reviews and safe releases, while using AI-assisted development to improve quality and security. Flexible hours with EU remote or hybrid in Vienna await.

Qualifications

• Several years of experience building production web applications, including architecture, backend and operations.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure, ideally AWS.
• You get into existing systems in a structured way and can explain technical decisions clearly.
• You enjoy working hands-on, sharing your knowledge and taking responsibility for reliable software.
• Confident communication in German and English, with customers and within the team.

We're looking for people who want to build Europe's largest startup financing platform with us.

Your role

You take technical ownership of our existing platform and develop it further yourself. Together with our current development partner, you bring the codebase, knowledge and operations into our in-house team. You work closely with our Head of Product & Technology and our Product Designer. Our stack includes Vue.js, Nuxt 3, PHP/Laravel and AWS.

What you will do

The minimum salary for this full-time position is €60.000 gross per year. We are prepared to offer a higher salary depending on your qualifications and experience.
