CEDES AG, based in Austria, seeks an experienced procurement professional to join our global purchasing team. You will develop forward-looking sourcing strategies for electronic components, lead local and global procurement projects, and ensure long-term supply at competitive conditions.

To strengthen our global purchasing organization, we are looking for an engaged, proactive, and hands-on professional to join us immediately or by mutual agreement.

Your area of responsibility

• Develop and implement forward-looking sourcing strategies for electronic components, taking into account cost, quality, supply security, and risk management
• Independently lead and execute local and global procurement and optimization projects
• Evaluate, introduce, and source new, modified, or alternative components in close collaboration with internal stakeholders
• Ensure the long-term availability of strategic purchasing items at competitive conditions
• Conduct contract and price negotiations and build sustainable supplier partnerships
• Actively contribute to complaint management, change management, and product management processes
• Collaborate proactively with R&D, Production, Quality, and Supply Chain teams within an international matrix organization

Our requirements

• Commercial or technical vocational training, ideally complemented by further education in procurement or purchasing
• Several years of experience in strategic procurement, with proven success in developing and implementing sourcing strategies for electronic components and production materials.
• Confidence working within an international matrix organization and the ability to effectively coordinate collaboration across functions, locations, and diverse stakeholder groups.
• Strong negotiation skills, a confident presence, and excellent communication abilities.
• Experience in conducting and evaluating make-or-buy decisions.
• High quality awareness, strong technical understanding, and a business-oriented mindset.
• Fluent German and English language skills, both written and spoken, suitable for contract negotiations.
• Proficient in the use of standard Microsoft Office applications.
• Proactive, self-driven, and solution-oriented working style with a high degree of initiative.
• Flexibility, resilience, and a commitment to continuous professional development.
• Strong teamwork skills and the ability to actively promote cross-functional collaboration.
• Willingness to travel for business.
