Job summary

INNIO Group in Austria offers an internship in emissions aftertreatment within a motivated engineering team working on Jenbacher gas engines. You will focus on testing, analysis and layout of aftertreatment systems, contributing to concept development and product release.

The role requires studying mechanical, process, or chemical engineering with enthusiasm for engines and environment protection, and the ability to work independently in an international setting.

Qualifications

• Student of mechanical engineering, process engineering, chemical engineering or similar.
• Interest in internal combustion engines and emissions aftertreatment.
• Able to work independently and in teams.
• Good communication in an international environment.

Responsibilities

• Work in a team to develop emissions and aftertreatment products for INNIO Jenbacher gas engines, focusing on testing and analysis.
• Layout aftertreatment systems and test installations, including component specs and subsystem design.
• Support development from concept to product release.
• Support in-house and field testing of components and aftertreatment validation.
• Analyze measurement results and report findings.

Your responsibilities:

• Work in a motivated engineering team to develop and improve emissions and aftertreatment products of INNIO Jenbacher gas engines by focusing on testing and analysis
• Layout of aftertreatment systems and test installations, including related component specifications and sub-system design
• Support of the development process from concept phase to product release
• Support and execute in-house and field testing of components and overall aftertreatment system validation
• Analysis of measurement results, interpretation and reporting

Your qualifications:

• Student of mechanical engineering, process engineering, chemical engineering or similar
• Passion for internal combustion engines, emissions aftertreatment system and environment protection
• High motivation and ability to work independently
• Good communication skills in an international environment

The internship is a full-time position for at least 6 months starting in 2027. The base pay is composed of the amount according to the Austrian collective agreement which is at least EUR 2.755,26 gross per month (x 14).
