Job summary

Die Erste Group Bank AG sucht im Bereich Enterprise-wide Risk Management ein Teilzeit-Praktikum (19,25 Std./Woche) ab Januar 2027 für 12 Monate zur Unterstützung der ICAAP-Aktivitäten. Sie arbeiten an Querschnittsrisiken, Kreditportfoliomodell-Implementierungen und der Entwicklung analytischer Werkzeuge.

Vorausgesetzt werden aktuelles Studium in Banking/Economics/IT/Mathematik/Statistik, Grundkenntnisse im Risikomanagement, analytische und kommunikative Fähigkeiten sowie Interesse an einem

Qualifications

• Student/in mit Bank- oder Wirtschaftsbezug und technischer Affinität.
• Grundkenntnisse in Risikomanagement und Finanzprodukten von Vorteil.
• Bereitschaft zu lernen, analytische, administrative und kommunikative Fähigkeiten.

Responsibilities

• Unterstützung des Teams bei der Analyse ausgewählter Querschnittsrisikofragen mit Fokus auf ICAAP-Modellimplementierung.
• Durchführung von Analysen zu Treibern der Risikoprofilentwicklung
• Koordination von Eingaben aus mehreren Bereichen und Abstimmung
• Mitwirkung an der Entwicklung analytischer ICAAP-Tools
• Mitarbeit bei Präsentationen für Geschäftsleitung und Aufsicht
• Unterstützung des Managements im Tagesgeschäft

The department ICAAP, within the Enterprise-wide Risk Management (ERM) division, ensures group-wide risk portfolio steering based on a holistic, cross-risk oversight of risks. ICAAP supports the Erste Group's management with a robust enterprise-wide risk management framework to ensure that the bank group has the capacity to bear its acquired risks. The main focus areas of the unit are the Risk Materiality Assessment (RMA), Risk Bearing Capacity Calculation (RCC), Risk Appetite Statement (RAS), limit steering and defining the risk strategy. In addition, it covers CEE as well as entities in Austria.

Your Tasks

• To support the team in in-depth analysis on selected cross risk issues, key focus: implementation of credit portfolio model in ICAAP
• To conduct necessary analysis (via established tools and tools being under development) on key drivers of risk profile development
• To coordinate the inputs from several entities and make necessary reconciliations
• To actively participate in development of analytical ICAAP tools
• To assist the team in preparing the presentations for the senior and top management as well as the regulators
• To support management in day-to-day business

Your Background

• Ongoing studies at University/University of Applied Sciences with a background in banking, economics, business administration, information technology, mathematics or statistics
• Have basic knowledge about risk management and financial/banking products
• Are willing to learn and have good analytical, administrative and communication skills
• Are interested to work in an international and highly motivated team
• Want to get a deeper understanding of Risk Management
• Are flexible and able to work independently, but also act as a team player
• Possess very good knowledge of Microsoft Office and / or have advanced IT knowledge (SQL, VBA…) incl. knowledge of Databricks (DBX), Python programming, and AI/Generative AI features across modern data and cloud platforms, with the ability to apply these technologies to data analytics, automation, and business use cases
• Are fluent in German and English, knowledge of another CEE Language is an advantage
