Zusammenfassung

Infineon Technologies AG in Austria seeks a student or trainee to advance automation initiatives. You will develop scripts in Python and work on CI/CD pipelines, collaborating with engineering teams to automate repetitive tasks and improve software delivery workflows.

The role allows flexible hours (Mon–Fri 6 a.m.–7 p.m.) and a minimum duration of 12 months, with German language skills a plus and English proficiency required.

Qualifikationen

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree, or preferably a Master’s degree, in CS/Software Engineering/IT/Data Science or related field.
• Solid programming skills in Python and scripting (PowerShell or Bash) is required.
• Knowledge of SQL is a plus.
• Familiarity with CI/CD workflows and version control systems (GitLab, GitHub, Bitbucket) is important.
• Exposure to API-based system integration is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and teamwork, with interest in automation and software delivery pipelines.

Key responsibilities in your new role

• Automation Scripts: Develop and enhance scripts using Python, PowerShell, Bash, or other scripting tools to support operational processes and tasks
• Pipelines: Help build and maintain continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab continuous integration, or Jira and Bitbucket Pipelines to improve software development and delivery workflows
• Process Discovery: Collaborate with teams to identify manual and repetitive processes for automation
• System Integration: Use application programming interfaces to automate interactions between systems and tools
• Workflow Testing: Test and debug automation workflows to ensure reliability and efficiency
• Optimization: Identify process optimization opportunities and contribute to their implementation
• Documentation: Create documentation for automation processes, scripts, workflows, and related tools to support usability and maintainability

Qualifications And Skills To Help You Succeed

• Education: Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree, or preferably a Master’s degree, in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field
• Programming: Solid programming skills in Python and experience with scripting languages such as PowerShell or Bash; Structured Query Language is a plus
• Development Workflows: Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous delivery workflows and version control systems such as Git, including GitLab, GitHub, or Bitbucket
• Automation Knowledge: Basic understanding of automation principles and exposure to automation tools; knowledge of Representational State Transfer application programming interfaces for system integration is a plus
• Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail
• Collaboration: Effective communication skills, willingness to collaborate with engineering teams, and interest in process optimization, workflow automation, and software delivery pipelines
• Language Skills: Very good English skills; German is a plus
