Job summary

INNIO Jenbacher GmbH & Co OG in Jenbach, Austria, invites applications for a full-time engineering internship starting in 2027 for at least six months. You will join a dedicated engineering team to enhance engine performance through simulation and testing, and support development projects across power, efficiency and emissions targets.

The role requires enthusiasm, basic knowledge of IC engines, and good English communication.

Qualifications

• Currently studying Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Strong motivation and ability to work independently.
• Interest in internal combustion engines.
• Able to operate in a global matrix organization.
• Good communication in English.

Responsibilities

• Work in a motivated engineering team to improve engine performance via simulation and testing.
• Support gas engine development projects focusing on performance and efficiency.
• Assist 1D simulations on combustion and gas exchange.
• Assist in-house testing on single/multi-cylinder engines with mixture prep and ignition.
• Support spark plug development on engine tests and material analysis.
• Analyze results and field data, draw conclusions and report.
• Conduct literature research for project background.
• Collaborate with controls, design, mechanical, exhaust, and test benches.
