Job summary

Fabasoft Group in Linz seeks an experienced procurement leader to drive strategic development of the procurement function, standardize processes, and ensure SAP S/4HANA integration across the group.

You will manage centralized procurement, negotiate with suppliers, handle quotes, orders and invoices, evaluate supplier performance, oversee budgets, and push ESG-compliant, auditable purchasing while strengthening supplier relationships and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Degree in business or related field with several years in procurement.
• Experience designing and optimizing procurement processes; SAP knowledge.
• Strong negotiator, able to represent business interests with suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Provide centralized procurement leadership for the Fabasoft Group and drive strategic development of the procurement function.

Your mission:

• You will provide technical leadership for our procurement team, drive the strategic development of the procurement department, and establish company-wide procurement guidelines and standards.
• You will be responsible for centralized procurement for the Fabasoft Group and will also be hands-on - from requesting quotes and selecting suppliers to order processing, invoice verification, and handling complaints.
• You will maintain and develop our supplier relationships, conduct negotiations on prices, contracts, and terms, and oversee the annual supplier evaluation.
• You will contribute to budget planning, define and analyze relevant procurement metrics, and use these insights to derive targeted optimization measures.
• You will drive the standardization and digitization of our procurement processes and, in particular, actively contribute to the further development of our processes in SAP S/4HANA.
• You ensure compliance with regulatory, quality, and information security requirements in procurement, participate in internal and external audits, and promote sustainable procurement processes and the reduction of procurement-related CO2 emissions by integrating ESG criteria.
• You will create and foster a corporate culture in which ambition, responsibility, innovation, and excellence are put into practice.

Your profile:

• You have a degree in business (business law, economics, etc.) and several years of professional experience in procurement - ideally in the IT or services sector.
• You have experience in designing and optimizing procurement processes and possess solid SAP knowledge (experience with SAP S/4HANA is a plus).
• You are a strong negotiator and confident in dealing with suppliers and contractual partners, and you can persuasively represent and enforce business interests.
• You enjoy rolling up your sleeves, think in a solution-oriented way, and maintain a clear overview even when faced with varying requirements and priorities.
• You are aware of your responsibilities, lead by example, and exemplify high performance—you guide your team professionally with clarity and conviction, and seek direct, constructive dialogue even in challenging situations.
• Excellent German and English skills round out your profile.
