ABB is seeking a Category Manager to join our procurement team. You will handle strategic and operational purchasing, oversee master data, and coordinate commercial deviations to ensure material availability and align with our global procurement strategy.

The role combines on-site work with 10 home-office days per month, offering meaningful work that supports running what runs the world and advancing ABB’s supply chain excellence.

Formación

• Completed commercial or technical education with a focus on Procurement, Supply Chain Management, or Industrial Engineering.
• Several years of experience in operational or strategic purchasing in an industrial electronics environment.
• Broad experience in price and contract negotiations with international suppliers.
• Experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP.
• Structured mindset with strong business process and KPI understanding.
• Clear communication, initiative, and team spirit; English required, German a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Conduct inquiries, tenders, and market analyses, including price and contract negotiations for serial production.
• Manage quantity contracts, delivery schedules, and logistics agreements with international suppliers.
• Monitor inventory levels, lead times, and price developments; handle PCN/EOL topics.
• Interface between production planning, order management, suppliers, and internal departments to ensure a stable supply chain.
