ABB is seeking a Global Category Manager for the Analytical business line to own the mechanical category—covering components, castings, forgings, and plastics—and to shape its global direction. This senior role consolidates strategy with factories and teams worldwide to build a resilient, cost-optimized supply chain.

You will drive strategic sourcing, lead cross-functional collaboration, and manage supplier relationships to deliver measurable savings and value across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the global strategy for the mechanical category for the Analytical Business Line, including supplier footprint, risk mitigation, and cost optimization
• Lead sourcing strategies using the CIPS process, ensuring the supply base has the capability and capacity to meet current and future business requirements
• Negotiate agreements with key suppliers, renew price lists, and manage terms and conditions
• Manage procurement planning, budgets, savings forecasts, and cost-out programs to reach financial targets
• Identify, investigate, and select suppliers with focus on quality, delivery, cost, and sustainability
• Provide ongoing contract management and oversight with suppliers
• Ensure all relevant parties understand and execute the strategy, and that category sourcing performance targets are achieved
