Job summary

VAT Group in Haag, Switzerland, seeks a Strategic Sourcing Manager for electronics to lead global sourcing strategies, partner with Engineering, Operations, and Business Units, and drive value across the supply base.

The role focuses on cost optimization, supplier assessments, and risk management across Europe and Asia, with a target of sustained cost reductions and supplier performance improvements.

Qualifications

• 3-4 years of in-depth strategic and operational sourcing experience.
• Experience with global category management.
• Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
• Experience sourcing in Eastern Europe and Asia, including Best Cost Country sourcing.
• Experience in machine building, vacuum technology, and semiconductors.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with suppliers and stakeholders.
• German and English language skills required.

Responsibilities

• Developing and executing global sourcing strategies for electronics.
• Partner with Business Units, Engineering, and Operations to ensure alignment.
• Maintain and improve the Global Strategic Sourcing Operating Model.
• Apply sustainable supplier assessments and development approaches.
• Improve supply base performance on quality, delivery, and cost (QCD).
• Aim for measurable cost reductions across the global spend.
• Lead category boards and monitor supply base risk.
