MERKUR Excellence GmbH is seeking a Game Tester to own hands-on testing across PC, mobile, and EGMs, documenting results and reporting bugs. You will drive QA processes, maintain test plans, and ensure quality throughout development in a cross-functional team.

You will mentor junior testers, contribute to team development, and support automated testing initiatives. English fluency is required; German is a plus in a casino game environment. Hybrid work is available in Vienna.

Qualifikationen

• 5+ years experience in QA for games, with senior or lead testing role.
• Experience in the Casino Game Industry.
• Fluent in English; German is nice to have.
• Deep understanding of the game development lifecycle and Agile/Scrum workflows.
• Strong bug writing, communication, and documentation skills.
• Familiarity with bug tracking tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail, DevTrack).
• Experience testing on PC, mobile, and EGMs.

We’re looking for a Game Tester (m/f/d) to take ownership of game testing across multiple platforms and devices. In this role, you’ll ensure quality throughout the development cycle, drive QA processes, and collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams. With your experience, you’ll mentor junior testers, contribute to team development, and support the implementation of automated testing tools. If you bring a strong QA background, excellent bug‑reporting skills, and a passion for games especially in the casino sector. We look forward to your application!

Your responsibilities

• As a Game Tester (m/f/d) you take full ownership of hands‑on game testing by independently performing test passes across multiple devices and platforms, including documentation, bug reporting, and a variety of test types (exploratory, regression, smoke, etc.)
• You also take ownership of QA processes, including creating and maintaining test plans, ensuring quality throughout the development cycle, and being responsible for assigned features or titles
• Moreover, you collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams to clarify requirements, track bug fixes, and actively contribute to sprints, reviews, and milestone meetings
• In addition, you will mentor junior QA team members by providing them with best practices and expertise to support their growth and the development of the entire team.
• Last but not least, you support test automation efforts by implementing and using automated testing tools or pipelines

Your profile

• 5+ years experience in QA for games, with multiple shipped titles in a senior or lead testing role
• Experience in the Casino Game Industry
• Fluent in English, German is nice to have
• Deep understanding of the game development lifecycle and Agile/Scrum workflows
• Strong bug writing, communication, and documentation skills
• Familiarity with bug tracking tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail, DevTrack)
