MERKUR.COM AG in Vienna is seeking a seasoned Game Tester to own hands-on testing across PC, console, and mobile platforms, document results, and drive QA processes. You will mentor junior testers, contribute to test plans, and support automation initiatives while collaborating with cross-functional teams in a dynamic casino-focused development environment.

The role is full-time, on-site in Wien 3. Bezirk (Landstraße), with 39 weekly hours and permanent employment.

Qualifikationen

• 5+ years of QA for games, senior or lead tester experience preferred.
• Experience in the Casino Game Industry is advantageous.
• Fluent in English; German is a plus.
• Strong understanding of the game development lifecycle and Agile/Scrum workflows.

We're looking for a Game Tester (m/f/d) for our new Viennese Studio to take ownership of game testing across multiple platforms and devices. In this role, you'll ensure quality throughout the development cycle, drive QA processes, and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams. With your experience, you'll mentor junior testers, contribute to team development, and support the implementation of automated testing tools. Game Tester (m/f/d)

Your responsibilities

• As a Game Tester (m/f/d) you take full ownership of hands‑on game testing by independently performing test cases across multiple devices and platforms, including documentation, bug reporting, and a variety of test types (exploratory, regression, smoke, etc.)
• You also take ownership of QA processes, including creating and maintaining test plans, ensuring quality throughout the development cycle, and being responsible for assigned features or titles
• Moreover, you collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams to clarify requirements, track bug fixes, and actively contribute to sprints, reviews, and milestone meetings
• In addition, you will mentor junior QA team members by providing them with best practices and expertise to support their growth and the development of the entire team.
• Last but not least, you support test automation efforts by implementing and using automated testing tools or pipelines

Your profile

• 5+ years experience in QA for games, with multiple shipped titles in a senior or lead tester role
• Experience in the Casino Game Industry
• Fluent in English, German is nice to have
• Deep understanding of the game development lifecycle and Agile/Scrum workflows
• Strong bug reporting, communication, and documentation skills
• Proficiency with bug tracking tools, e.g. Jira
• Experience testing on various platforms
