Metal Market seeks a Sales Agent / Technical Sourcing Partner to connect Swiss buyers with Indian manufacturing partners. You will manage Swiss mid-market accounts, qualify RFQs, translate technical requirements, and support prototype-to-series transitions.

The role blends commercial and technical tasks, with flexible location and freelance engagement. Strong German/French and English skills are essential, plus a network in Swiss MEM or proven B2B success.

Qualifikationen

• Several years of experience as a sales engineer / project manager in metalworking, plant or machine engineering.
• Solid technical grasp of machining, casting, forming and surface finishing - you can look at a part and see where the manufacturing limits are.
• Experience in New Product Introduction / prototype-to-series transition is a plus.
• An existing network in the Swiss MEM industry, or a proven ability to win B2B clients independently.
• Self-directed, entrepreneurial way of working - you're used to operating freelance and on your own responsibility.
• Fluent negotiation in German or French, plus English.
• Open to international sourcing as a complement to - not a replacement for - Swiss value creation

Aufgaben

• Acquisition & account management of Swiss mid-market clients (precision machine builders, medtech and instrumentation firms, industrial suppliers)
• RFQ qualification: read drawings, assess tolerances, materials and feasibility - and judge which parts are suited to Indian manufacturing and which are not
• Technical translation between customer requirement and supplier capability (cast housings → milling → plating / powder coating, bent / brazed tubing, sheet-metal assemblies, special alloys)
• Prototype-to-series support: first-article inspection, customer sign-off, transition into serial production
• Negotiation & relationship building for long-term framework agreements
