CERN - European Organization for Nuclear Research is seeking a Field Coordinator for the CMS High-Granularity Calorimeter (HGCAL). This role coordinates assembly, integration, testing and commissioning of detector elements and supports system-level testing of a 250-tonne detector within a multinational team.

Qualifikationen

• Proven ability to plan and coordinate facilities for assembling and testing complex detectors.
• Experience in assembly and testing of detectors, preferably silicon-based sensors.
• Familiarity with Merlin and MS Project for project planning.
• Proven ability to work in multinational, multidisciplinary teams.

Aufgaben

• Oversee operation and maintenance of HGCAL assembly/testing facilities (ISO 7 cleanrooms, assembly hall).
• Provide technical support to physicists, engineers and technicians; liaise with safety and coordination teams.
• Plan and supervise detector integration, cassette insertion/stacking, and thermal/cold testing of the detector.
• Coordinate tests of HGCAL sectors on surface and after CMS installation.
