Vinted is seeking an Engineering Manager for the Kafka team to lead 5+ infrastructure engineers, overseeing Kafka clusters, managed services, and cross‑team collaboration across Europe. You will focus on team health, performance, and scalable platform improvements, reporting to the Director of Engineering and partnering with the Staff Engineer and TPM.

Qualifikationen

• Experience managing and developing software and/or infrastructure teams.
• Strong goal-setting, performance reviews, and career growth experience.
• Able to collaborate in a leadership triad with a Staff Engineer and TPM.
• Skilled at creating structured workflows and managing stakeholder expectations.
• Care about psychological safety and on-call culture.
• Excellent written and spoken English.

Aufgaben

• Lead and develop a team of 5+ infrastructure engineers.
• Mentor engineers to reach their potential and support team growth.
• Monitor team health, delivery velocity, and workload.
• Develop efficient operational procedures, agile workflows, incident response, and on-call practices.
• Unblock engineers, resolve cross-team dependencies, and collaborate with peer platforms.
• Participate in management rituals, planning, and post-incident reviews.
• Oversee hiring as the team expands.
• Turn technical strategy into roadmaps with Staff Engineer and TPM.
• Communicate SLAs and roadmap visibility across Vinted.
• Ensure data synchronization across cross-Atlantic markets with good performance.
