Ashby is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead a small, autonomous team in Europe. You will write product specs with engineers, make product decisions, and coach engineers from start to finish, moving away from rigid tickets.

You’ll build an environment where engineers own their projects, grow them into leaders, and contribute across code, product, and design. This role blends technical leadership with people leadership at Ashby.

Qualifikationen

• Strong people leadership experience in software engineering.
• Ability to discuss infra, backend, and frontend with engineers.
• Experience building high-trust, autonomous teams.
• Proven track record of giving detailed feedback and coaching.

Aufgaben

• Lead a team of up to six direct reports and drive ownership.
• Coach engineers, help decide product scope, and enable delivery.
• Jump into code when needed to debug or improve developer experience.
• Foster a culture of autonomy, ownership, and continuous improvement.
