Ionic Wind AG is offering a 6‑month internship to develop, integrate and test the MCU of our airflow units. You will define the embedded system architecture, evaluate MCU platforms, and implement robust interfaces with power electronics and sensors.

The role requires hands‑on electronics prototyping (PCB design, soldering, field testing) and experience with C/C++. English fluency is required; German and French are a plus.

Competenze

• Enrolled in related engineering program at a Swiss university for internship or Master Thesis.
• Hands-on experience with microcontrollers and embedded firmware (C/C++).
• Familiar with UART and I2C protocols.
• Experience prototyping electronics: PCB design, soldering, field testing.
• Fluent in English; German or French a plus.

Mansioni

• Define embedded system architecture including sensors, control signals, and safety functions.
• Evaluate and prototype the MCU platform, integrate with power supplies and test setup.
• Develop closed-loop control for high-voltage/current setpoints with arc-detection and safety interlocks.
• Implement robust communication between embedded system, power electronics, sensors, and external software.
• Document findings and provide recommendations for system integration and scalability.
