Job summary

ALPLA INC. is seeking a senior engineering leader to define strategy and governance for its global technics organization. You will drive injection molding solutions, oversee projects, and lead Design & Application Engineering across diverse regions, ensuring cost-efficient, manufacturable packaging solutions.

You will manage the global mold supply chain, strengthen the mold shop network, and collaborate cross-functionally to improve profitability and delivery performance on a worldwide scale.

Qualifications

• University degree or equivalent in Engineering or related field.
• Several years of leadership experience in injection molding, tooling, mold manufacturing, project management, product development, and related environments.
• Experience leading global or international teams across cultures, regions and functions.
• Proven ability to manage complex technical projects, supplier networks, budgets and stakeholder environments.
• Strong techno-commercial understanding balancing technical feasibility, cost, quality, timing, risk and customer requirements.
• Experience with internal and external supplier management and technical sourcing is advantageous.

• Lead and develop the global technics organization of ALPLAinject, defining strategy, governance, standards, and performance targets across all technical functions.
• Drive technical solutioning and customer offer development, ensuring competitive, feasible, and commercially attractive injection molding solutions.
• Oversee global project management and execution, ensuring on-time, within-budget delivery and quality.
• Lead Design & Application Engineering, translating customer requirements into innovative, cost-efficient, manufacturable packaging solutions.
• Manage the global mold supply chain, including internal mold shops and external suppliers, ensuring quality, cost efficiency, capacity utilization and delivery performance.
• Strengthen and develop the internal mold shop network, driving standardization, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
• Contribute to business performance through transparent cost management, investment planning, profitability improvement, and technical decision-making.
• Build and lead high-performing global teams, fostering collaboration, stakeholder alignment, accountability, and a culture of continuous improvement.

What makes you great

• University degree or equivalent education in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Plastics Technology, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or a related field
• Several years of leadership experience in injection molding, tooling, mold manufacturing, project management, product development, application engineering, technical sales support or comparable industrial environments
• Experience in leading global or international teams and working across cultures, regions and functions
• Proven ability to manage complex technical projects, supplier networks, budgets and stakeholder environments
• Strong techno-commercial understanding and ability to balance technical feasibility, cost, quality, timing, risk and customer requirements.
• Experience with internal and external supplier management, investment goods procurement and technical sourcing is an advantage
