Job summary

Prewave GmbH in Vienna is seeking a Data Science Engineer to turn vast datasets into actionable intelligence from day one, applying AI by default and balancing judgment with automation.

You will own NLP-driven data decoding, develop and deploy ML models with Torch and TensorFlow, and collaborate across teams to turn research into production solutions. Hybrid work and flexible hours are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics or related fields.
• 3+ years of experience in developing, deploying and scaling ML models to production.
• Experience with NLP or other ML technologies, Torch or TensorFlow.
• Proficient in Python and Scala.
• Knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
• Strong problem-solving skills and comfort with ambiguity.
• End-to-end ownership from prototyping to deployment and monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Decode data using NLP to extract meaning from diverse datasets.
• Form hypotheses, uncover patterns, and identify optimization opportunities.
• Develop, fine-tune, and deploy ML models using Torch and TensorFlow.
• Bridge research and production by turning algorithms into scalable solutions.
• Monitor and continuously improve model performance and accuracy.
• Identify and integrate new data sources to enrich intelligence.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to tackle business challenges with data-driven solutions.
