RHI Magnesita in Vienna is seeking a hands-on Data Engineer to build scalable data pipelines and products on a Databricks-based lakehouse. You will work with Sales, Distribution and SCM data, including SAP sources, to support demand and supply planning in an international, agile team.

You will use Python, SQL, Spark, Databricks and Azure, and you will benefit from AI-assisted coding practices. The role is hybrid with ongoing collaboration across global teams.

Qualifikationen

• Experience building production-grade data pipelines.
• Strong practical skills in Python, SQL, Spark and Databricks.
• Experience with SAP data and cloud data platforms; Azure is an advantage.
• Understanding of Sales, Distribution, Supply Chain or demand/supply planning is a plus.

At RHI Magnesita, Databricks is at the heart of our corporate data platform. We are looking for a hands‑on Data Engineer to join our international Data & AI team in Vienna and build the data foundation for our Sales, Distribution and Supply Chain planning processes.

Your tasks

• Building and operating scalable data pipelines and data products on our Databricks-based lakehouse.
• Integrating and transforming Sales, Distribution and SCM data, particularly from SAP, for demand and supply planning.
• Delivering trusted, high-quality data to o9 and other planning solutions (you will not develop directly in o9).
• Working hands‑on with Databricks, Spark, Python, SQL, Azure and SAP.
• Using Codex, Databricks Genie Code and other AI‑assisted engineering practices as part of your daily development workflow.
• Collaborating closely with Supply Chain, business teams and other Data & AI colleagues in an agile, international environment.

Your profile

• Experience in Data Engineering and building production‑grade data pipelines.
• Strong practical skills in Python, SQL, Spark and Databricks.
• Experience with SAP data and cloud data platforms; Azure is an advantage.
• Understanding of Sales, Distribution, Supply Chain or demand/supply planning is a plus.
• Interest in modern engineering practices, including AI‑assisted coding and development.
• Curious, collaborative and comfortable taking ownership in an agile, international team environment.

Languages: English – fluent (confident working in an international, English‑speaking team).
