Zusammenfassung

Helu is seeking a Data Engineer to design and operate reliable ELT pipelines powering analytics and core product features. You will work with Python, SQL and AWS, aligning with modern data architecture patterns and focusing on data quality, performance and maintainability.

The role emphasizes building scalable data processing, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and contributing to a modern data stack. Remote options with quarterly office weeks in Vienna are available.

Qualifikationen

• Proficient in Python for data processing and scripting.
• Strong SQL skills and data modeling experience.
• Solid experience with AWS services (Lambda, Step Functions, S3, Batch).
• Experience building production ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Understanding of Medallion architecture for data platforms.
• Focus on data quality, consistency and reliability across pipelines.
• Experience with Git versioning and CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with PySpark or Polars for large-scale data processing.
• Experience working with structured and semi-structured data (JSON, Parquet).

Aufgaben

• Design, build and maintain scalable ELT pipelines.
• Implement and operate data workflows using AWS services.
• Contribute to evolution of Data Platform architecture (Medallion).
• Ensure data quality, consistency and reliability across pipelines.
• Optimize data transformations for performance and cost efficiency.
• Collaborate with backend/frontend engineers and product teams to define data requirements.
• Monitor pipelines, troubleshoot issues and improve observability.
• Document data models, transformations and architecture decisions.
