Drees & Sommer is seeking a Construction Manager to lead a complex datacenter project on-site in Kronstorf, Lower Austria. You will coordinate clients, project teams, contractors and stakeholders to ensure safety, schedule, cost and quality targets are met.

The role focuses on building services and process automation, with opportunities to contribute across electrical, mechanical, and civil disciplines. A strong engineering background and proven leadership are essential.

Qualifikationen

• Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Building Services Engineering, Architecture, Process Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a comparable technical qualification.
• Several years of experience in construction management, site supervision, project management, or industrial construction projects.
• Experience with multidisciplinary project teams and external contractors.
• Strong understanding of construction processes, project controls, and stakeholder management.

At Drees & Sommer, we deliver highly sophisticated EPCM projects across industries such as semiconductor manufacturing, battery production, automotive, life sciences, data centers, chemicals, power generation, and process industries.

As a Construction Manager, you will play a key role in the successful delivery of a complex datacenter project from construction through commissioning. You will work closely with clients, project teams, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Your responsibilities include:

• Depending on your background and expertise, you may contribute in one of the following focus areas: Building & Process Automation, Electrical and Mechanical Building Services or Construction Logistics, CSA Civil, Commissioning
• Managing and coordinating construction activities throughout all project phases
• Monitoring project schedules, costs, quality, and project performance
• Leading and coordinating internal project teams as well as contractors and subcontractors
• Ensuring efficient project execution and proactive risk management
• Supporting and applying cost, change, and claim management processes
• Organizing and moderating construction and project meetings
• Preparing reports and decision-making documents for clients and project stakeholders
• Representing the client’s interests on-site
• Supporting commissioning, inspections, testing, and handover activities
• Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and regulatory requirements
• Driving continuous improvement of construction processes and project workflows

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Building Services Engineering, Architecture, Process Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a comparable technical qualification
• Several years of experience in construction management, site supervision, project management, or industrial construction projects
• Experience working with multidisciplinary project teams and external contractors
• Strong understanding of construction processes, project controls, and stakeholder management
• Structured, proactive, and solution-oriented working style
• Strong communication, leadership, and coordination skills
• Fluent English skills and good command of German
• Willingness to work on site in Kronstorf, Lower Austria 4-5 days a week

We offer an attractive, salary package in line with the market according to your qualifications and experience from € 70,000 gross per year. According to legal requirements, we are obliged to specify the minimum salary under the collective agreement, which is € 2.889,59 (full-time).
