Huawei Austria in Vienna is seeking a Compliance Specialist to support the Country Compliance Officer in implementing and operating the local compliance system. You will engage with regulators, external counsel, and key clients to shape strategic compliance dialogue and drive risk-informed decisions.

The role requires a Law degree, 2+ years in compliance or legal practice, and fluency in English and German with Chinese a plus.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Law.
• Minimum of 2 years in compliance management, corporate governance, or legal practice.
• Solid knowledge of compliance areas including anti-bribery, competition law, cybersecurity, privacy protection, financial/trade/third-party compliance.

• Regulatory communication with local authorities, external counsel, industry associations, and key clients.
• Identify and assess local compliance risks; design and drive a local risk map and actionable management objectives.
• Conduct rigorous compliance and legal reviews of contracts, partnership agreements, business plans, and sensitive documents.
• Lead incident management and ensure the compliance accountability framework remains aligned with operations.
• Design and execute internal training to embed a proactive compliance culture across local teams.

Compliance Specialist

What You’ll Be Doing:

• The Compliance Specialist assists the Country Compliance Officer in implementing the company’s compliance management requirements, helps establish and effectively operate the compliance responsibility system, performs compliance reviews of internal and external documents within the subsidiary, and ensures the compliant operation of the company’s business.
• Regulatory Communication: Establish and champion strategic dialogue, collaboration mechanisms, and partnerships with local regulatory authorities, external counsel, industry associations, and key clients.
• Risk Insight Assessment: Spearhead local business compliance insights, proactively identifying and assessing risks. Design and implement a comprehensive compliance risk map and drive actionable management objectives across the organization.
• Contract & Document Review: Conduct rigorous compliance and legal reviews of all contracts, partnership agreements, business plans, and sensitive internal/external documentation.
• Incident Management: Lead the resolution of compliance incidents with discretion and precision. Oversee the representative office’s compliance accountability framework to ensure continuous operational alignment.
• Compliance Culture & Training: Design and execute internal training initiatives to embed a proactive, high-standard compliance culture across all local teams.

What We’re Looking For:

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Law
• Full professional proficiency in English and German as working languages; proficiency in Chinese is a plus.
• Experience: A minimum of 2 years of dedicated experience in compliance management, corporate governance, or legal practice.
• Strong knowledge of compliance areas including anti-bribery and corruption, competition law, cybersecurity, privacy protection, financial compliance, trade compliance, and third-party compliance management etc.
• Exceptional communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Sharp business acumen with the ability to translate complex legal risks into practical operational solutions.
• Strong analytical, legal research, and cross-functional teamwork capabilities.
• Preferred Qualifications (An Asset):
• Prior experience navigating compliance frameworks within multinational enterprises (MNEs) or international financial institutions.
• Recognized professional certifications such as CAMS, CFCS, CIPP/E, CIPM, or ICA International Compliance Diplomas.
