Job summary

Bybit EU GmbH in Vienna seeks an experienced compliance professional to shape the compliance function of its licensed electronic money institution. You will translate regulatory requirements into actionable controls, advise management and business teams, and help manage regulatory engagements.

Responsibilities include building the EMI’s compliance framework, monitoring, reporting and collaboration with Risk, Legal, and AML functions.

Qualifications

• Several years of compliance experience at an EMI, payment institution, fintech or comparable regulated business.
• Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and the ability to translate them into workable controls and clear advice.
• Experience with regulatory examinations, management reporting and cross-functional work.
• Independent judgement and precise communication.

• Develop the EMI’s compliance framework, including policies, advisory processes, controls, monitoring and reporting.
• Assess regulatory changes affecting e-money and payment services and implement them with relevant teams.
• Set a risk-based compliance monitoring plan and track findings through to resolution.
• Advise Product, Operations and management on new offerings, processes and outsourcing arrangements.
• Prepare compliance reporting for management and support regulator engagements, working with Risk, Legal, Information Security and AML.

About the role:

Help shape the compliance function of our licensed electronic money institution. You will make regulatory requirements work in day-to-day operations and provide independent, practical advice to management and business teams.

What you’ll do

• Develop the EMI’s compliance framework, including policies, advisory processes, controls, monitoring and reporting.
• Assess regulatory changes affecting e-money and payment services, and work with the relevant teams to implement them.
• Set a risk-based compliance monitoring plan, evaluate the effectiveness of controls and track findings through to resolution.
• Advise Product, Operations and management on new offerings, processes and outsourcing arrangements.
• Prepare compliance reporting for management and, where the role requires it, support engagement with the regulator. Work closely with Risk, Legal, Information Security and the AML function.
