Job summary

MED-EL Elektromedizinische Geräte GmbH in Innsbruck seeks a dedicated researcher to support electrode research and inner ear imaging. You will analyze pre-operative CT/MRI scans, segment inner-ear structures, and contribute to cochlear implant planning within the Electrode Research & Inner Ear Malformations group.

Applicants should hold a Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field and demonstrate strong CT/MRI knowledge, English communication, and meticulous data handling for complex imaging

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field.
• Strong understanding of medical imaging, CT and MRI.
• Familiarity with CT interpretation parameters and MRI contrast.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Analyze pre-operative CT and MRI scans of the temporal bone and inner ear.
• Identify cochlear, vestibule, semicircular canals, IAC, facial nerve canal, round window region and other structures.
• Perform manual and semi-automatic segmentation of inner-ear structures.
• Carry out anatomical measurements and quantitative image analysis.
• Contribute to development of tools for standardized inner-ear anatomical classification and cochlear implant planning.
