Zusammenfassung

OSCE Secretariat in Vienna is seeking an Assistant Project Officer for a short-term position within the Environmental Activities Office. The role supports planning, execution and reporting on climate-related security projects, working under supervision and with international partners.

The incumbent will assist with research, events, and coordination, requiring strong English communication, gender awareness, and proficiency in MS Office; knowledge of ERP systems is an asset.

Qualifikationen

• First-level university degree in Environmental Sciences, Environmental Management, Renewable Energy Innovation, Social Sciences or other relevant field.
• A minimum of two years (one year with a relevant second-level degree) of professional experience in assisting with project planning, implementation and reporting.
• Established knowledge and understanding of developments in climate change, environment, biodiversity, social sciences or related fields.
• Ability to collect, organize and summarize information from various sources for draft project documents and background materials.
• Experience with OSCE or OSCE-area work would be an asset.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
• Gender awareness and ability to integrate gender perspective into tasks and activities.
• Digital literacy and proficient use of Microsoft Office; ERP experience is an asset.

Aufgaben

• Assist with project planning, implementation and management, supporting delivery of assigned activities and outputs according to procedures and supervisor guidance.
• Provide technical and project management support to project implementation under supervision.
• Assist with research and monitoring of developments in relevant areas; collect and summarize data for supervisor review.
• Organize and implement project activities (workshops, missions, conferences, study visits, trainings) with liaison and material preparation.
• Prepare inputs for progress and financial reports, monitoring reports, proposals, notes and background material; proofreading and formatting.
