Chief Technology Officer (CTO) / Senior Software Architect (m/f/d)

hybrid, offices in CEE

Our client is a European fintech company providing enterprise banking software solutions to financial institutions across Europe and the Middle East.

As the business enters its next growth phase, we are seeking a Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to join the executive leadership team and lead the company's technology strategy, architecture, and product delivery for international banking clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the technology roadmap in line with business goals and international growth plans
• Shape scalable, secure, and compliant software architectures for banking environments
• Oversee end-to-end product development, from concept and design to delivery, deployment, and support
• Drive the use of modern technologies such as cloud solutions, APIs, microservices, data platforms, and AI-based applications
• Ensure strong standards in information security, data protection, and regulatory compliance
• Lead and further develop international teams across engineering, architecture, and product functions
• Work closely with senior client stakeholders to translate business needs into effective technology solutions
• Manage key technology partnerships and vendor relationships to strengthen the software ecosystem

Your Profile

• Senior technology leadership experience, ideally as CTO, Chief Architect, or VP Technology in fintech, banking software, or enterprise software
• Strong understanding of banking and financial services processes such as core banking, digital channels, payments, compliance, risk, or lending
• Expertise in enterprise software architecture and delivery in international environments
• Knowledge of modern engineering practices, including cloud-native development, microservices, DevOps, containerization, and event-driven architectures
• Understanding of cybersecurity, regulatory requirements, and open banking standards
• Proven ability to lead international technology teams and engage with senior stakeholders
• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; MBA is an advantage
• Fluent English; additional languages are beneficial
