orient path_ is seeking an operator-led CEO to guide a European deep-tech company from R&D to industrial scale. You will work with tech, product and business teams, manage relationships with customers, partners, investors, and shareholders, and lead the next growth phase from Vienna with international ambitions.

The role requires strong commercial instincts, hands-on leadership of hardware businesses, and the ability to translate complex technology into a compelling proposition, drive Series B

• Lead the company through its next stage of growth, strengthening its position with key customers, strategic partners, investors, and industry stakeholders.
• Prepare and execute the Series B fundraising, building a compelling equity story and engaging strategic and institutional investors.
• Drive industrialization, supply chain readiness, and productization, translating advanced technology into a scalable commercial product.
• Support major commercial opportunities and lead senior-level customer negotiations, including strategic partnerships, JDAs, and licensing agreements.
• Establish a disciplined operating model with clear priorities, accountability, and effective decision-making.
• Develop and lead the executive team and represent the company with the Board and shareholders.

Following a successful Series A, the company is entering a critical growth stage, moving from R&D toward industrialization and commercial scale-up. With strong proprietary technology, established production capabilities, and growing partnerships with global industry players, the business is now looking for a CEO to lead its next phase.

We are looking for an operator-led CEO with strong commercial instincts who can bring structure, focus, and execution discipline to a highly technical organization.

The CEO will work closely with technology, product, and business teams, while maintaining strong relationships with customers, strategic partners, investors, and shareholders.

Key priorities:

• Lead the transition from R&D to industrialization and productization
• Build operational discipline, accountability, and clear priorities
• Align technology, product, IP, and commercial strategy
• Drive customer and strategic partnership development
• Translate complex technology into a compelling commercial proposition
• Lead the company through its next stage of international growth

We are particularly interested in leaders with experience scaling deep-tech, photonics, semiconductor, display, hardware, or adjacent technology businesses.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a CEO, founder-CEO, GM, or equivalent P&L leader in a deep-tech environment.
• Proven track record of scaling a company from Series A through Series B/C and/or a successful exit.
• Hands-on experience scaling complex hardware businesses, including industrialization, productization, and supply chain development.
• Strong operational leadership and a builder mentality — someone who has personally scaled businesses rather than advised them from the sidelines.
• Ability to operate credibly in a highly technical, engineering-driven organization and engage with complex technology and IP.
• Strong execution focus with the ability to introduce structure without slowing innovation.
• Experience in photonics, optics, semiconductors, or adjacent deep-tech hardware sectors.
• Willingness to relocate to Vienna and travel internationally.

Strong Plus

• Experience in AR / XR / display technologies.
• Founder-CEO background, ideally including a successful exit.
• Senior leadership experience within a major technology company combined with genuine startup/scale-up exposure.
