Job summary

Hamburger Containerboard – Prinzhorn Group invites an experienced Business Application Developer to join the Containerboard IT team in Pitten. The role focuses on Oracle Forms, Oracle Database, and PL/SQL, maintaining critical business apps while modernizing with AI-assisted tools.

You will work with legacy systems, translate requirements into practical enhancements, and document changes thoroughly. English proficiency and Austrian work authorization are required.

Qualifications

• Solid experience in Oracle Forms development with solid Oracle DB and PL/SQL knowledge.
• Experience with Oracle Reports and/or Oracle APEX is an advantage.
• Familiarity with tools such as Git, Redmine, GitHub Copilot, or Claude Code is a plus.
• Experience working with business-critical, legacy, or complex application environments.
• Ability to ask the right questions, structure information, document clearly, and build knowledge independently.
• Strong ownership mindset, business maturity, and willingness to take responsibility beyond pure coding.
• Collaborative, respectful, and reliable work approach; English required and EU/Austrian work authorization required.

Business Application Developer

(Oracle Forms / Oracle DB) (m/f/d)

YOU WILL.

Main tasks

• Develop, maintain, support, and gradually modernize business-critical applications based on Oracle Forms, Oracle Database, and PL/SQL
• Work with legacy and complex application environments and contribute to reliable, sustainable technical solutions
• Take over knowledge from an experienced senior developer in a structured and efficient way
• Analyze business requirements and translate them into practical application enhancements and fixes
• Troubleshoot existing applications, resolve issues, and support stable day-to-day operations
• Create and maintain clear technical documentation and knowledge transfer materials
• Use modern development tools, including AI-supported tools where beneficial

Requirements

• Solid experience in Oracle Forms development, supported by good knowledge of Oracle Database and PL/SQL
• Experience with Oracle Reports and/or Oracle APEX is an advantage
