Job summary

Otavo.ai in Austria is seeking a Marketing & Communications lead to build a brand from the ground up for a deep-tech scale-up. You will own external communications across brand, content, PR, events, and materials, turning complex technology into a clear, globally recognizable story, while partnering with Sales for bold campaigns and market positioning.

The role offers strategic ownership, international scaling, and exposure to media, investors, and key partners as the company expands from pilot

Qualifications

• 2–5 years in B2B marketing, ideally in a start-up, scale-up, or agency environment.
• Strong commercial instinct and a natural drive to work closely with Sales.
• Hands-on mindset: comfortable creating high-quality materials yourself and driving projects from idea to execution.
• Analytical mindset and appetite for experimentation.
• Track record of out-of-the-box thinking and unconventional marketing approaches.
• Professional fluency in German and English, willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Define and develop the marketing and communications strategy for a breakthrough deep-tech scale-up.
• Own external communication across brand, content, PR, events, and materials.
• Turn a highly technical innovation into a clear, powerful, globally recognisable story.
• Drive media visibility and communications as a strategic growth driver.
• Collaborate with Sales on bold campaigns and market positioning.
• Plan and activate presence at trade fairs, conferences, and roundtables.
• Create sales enablement assets: decks, one-pagers, case studies, reference stories.
• Own and evolve the brand and visual identity for international scaling.
• Drive content across LinkedIn, website, newsletters, and other channels.
• Lead PR, media communications, and strategic announcements.
• Track reach, leads, and contributions to opportunities.
