Novartis in Tyrol, Austria, seeks an Automation Engineer to advance DCS/PLC‑based manufacturing within a GMP environment. You will work on DeltaV and AI‑powered digital manufacturing initiatives at a modern biopharmaceutical production site.

You’ll design changes, support operation and troubleshooting, document lifecycle activities, and collaborate with Production, Engineering and Quality to improve availability and cycle time while staying compliant.

Qualifikationen

• Hands-on experience with DCS and/or PLC systems in industrial manufacturing.
• Experience in GMP-regulated environment.
• Experience coordinating small automation projects.
• Familiarity with change management and documentation.
• Understanding of qualification and validation activities for automation.
• Good English and German communication skills.
• Interest in digital tools, data analytics, or AI in manufacturing.

Aufgaben

• Operate, support, and maintain DCS and PLC systems in GMP.
• Act as technical contact for automation systems during operation.
• Design and implement automation changes per quality and safety.
• Identify improvements to equipment availability and cycle time.
• Execute automation projects from design to handover.
• Create and maintain lifecycle documentation.
• Collaborate with Production, Engineering, Quality, and partners.
• Coordinate external automation service providers.
