TGW Logistics in Austria is seeking an Apprentice Trainer Controls to lead the technical training of mechatronics apprentices focusing on automation technology and PLC techniques. You will plan, coordinate, implement and monitor training content for the third-year program, aiming to develop future Controls-Experts and strengthen cross-site collaboration.

Your role includes shaping the training program, onboarding new Commissioning Engineer Controls, and aligning software preparation, emulation

• Pedagogical approach to teaching adolescents and young adults; passion for long-term learning.
• Certified vocational trainer qualification or willingness to obtain it.
• Professional demeanor and clear communication in a technical environment.
• Good English skills for international collaboration and willingness to travel ~20%.

As an Apprentice Trainer Controls, you will be responsible for the technical training of mechatronics apprentices with a focus on automation technology and the special PLC-Technik module in the third year of apprenticeship – including planning, coordination, implementation and monitoring of the training content. In addition, you will take on central tasks that will ensure the development of future Controls-Experts and strengthen cross‑site collaboration.

What you'll be handling:

• Technical leadership and further development of the Controls apprenticeship program, with the goal of successfully preparing young talent for their future roles in control and commissioning technology
• Development and refinement of a training program for the long‑term development of technical expertise and specialized knowledge in the Controls field
• Providing technical onboarding and support for new Commissioning Engineer Controls within the department
• Designing and optimizing the Commander training plan with a focus on software preparation, emulation, and controls commissioning
• Close cross‑site collaboration with trainers, subject matter experts, and managers to ensure consistent and forward‑looking training
• Actively contributing to projects to keep expertise up to date and to integrate new technologies and challenges into the training program

What you'll need:

• Completed technical training in automation technology or several years of professional experience in commissioning with a focus on software development (SIEMENS TIA, S7-1500)
• Experience in the professional leadership, training, or development of employees and high‑potential talent
• A pedagogical approach to working with adolescents and young adults, as well as a passion for imparting knowledge in a way that fosters long‑term learning
• Certified vocational trainer qualification or willingness to obtain it
• Professional demeanor and confident communication skills in a technical environment
• Good English skills for international collaboration, as well as a willingness to travel approximately 20%

We offer an attractive salary in line with the market, depending on qualifications and professional experience. The minimum gross basic salary under the collective agreement on the basis of full‑time employment is 47.547 euros per year.
