Jan De Nul Argentina seeks a Technical Superintendent – Vessel Maintenance to lead maintenance and repair activities for our dredging fleet. You will coordinate with vessel crews, project teams and suppliers to ensure safe, reliable operation while managing spare-parts and material planning.

Based in Buenos Aires with project rotations across Argentina, this role requires strong technical engineering expertise, Spanish fluency, and working English for fleet coordination with head office.

To keep our activities in Argentina running, we have a strong need for talented engineers to follow up our projects here as technical superintendent.We are looking for a Technical Superintendent – Vessel Maintenance to join our Technical Division and contribute to the safe, efficient and reliable operation of our dredging vessels and associated equipment.As a Technical Superintendent, you will play a key role in coordinating maintenance and repair activities, working closely with vessel crews, project teams, technical departments, suppliers and shipyards.Your Role**A job with opportunities and responsibilities**As Technical Superintendent, you will be responsible for the technical condition and maintenance of assigned vessels and equipment.Your responsibilities will include:* Coordinating maintenance and repair activities for assigned vessels and associated equipment.* Reviewing technical reports, repair lists and resource requirements.* Preparing and following up on repair, reconstruction and renewal projects.* Monitoring spare-parts requirements and stock management.* Supporting vessel mobilization and demobilization activities.* Following up on technical personnel working on board vessels and at project sites.* Preparing and monitoring spare-parts lists for dry-docking and conversion projects.* Coordinating technical specifications and maintenance planning.* Working with Procurement to ensure the timely availability of required technical materials and spare parts.Of course, you will not be doing this on your own: you can rely on the support of your project manager and colleagues in different disciplines within the project team. You will grow and learn every day, and we will help you.**Your base in Buenos Aires**Buenos Aires is your work base, and our projects might take you across Argentina. You will work in a rotation regime that is agreed per project: intense periods on site or on board, with long days and six-day weeks, followed by a block of time off at home.
