System Administrator Manager

Core Responsibilities

1. Oversee the implementation, deployment, and integration of solutions, ensuring successful delivery, high quality, and sustainability of solutions.
2. Manage all aspects of solutions deployment and technical operations.
3. Lead the DevOps team, assigning and monitoring workflow and ensuring quality and efficiency is maintained.
4. Plan, build, configure, test, and deploy technology solutions.
5. Promote DevOps strategies and implementation goals.
6. Test and maintain systems.
7. Set up business contracts with vendors or customers.
8. Participate in automation testing and implementation.
9. Analyze and approve new code.
10. Design, develop, test, deploy, and manage a wide range of products and services for the company.
11. Lead the automation of day-to-day operations to support our 1000+ customers effectively.
12. Design and deploy complex systems and network solutions to ensure 24x7 availability.
13. Automate data backups and recovery operations within virtual environments.
14. Diagnose, troubleshoot, and conduct root cause analysis for complex system problems in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment.
15. Automate Hypervisor deployments to streamline operational processes.
16. Build, maintain, and provide support for Synology storage systems.
17. Manage and upgrade operating systems across multiple platforms, including Windows, OSX, Linux, BSD, etc.
18. Oversee VMWare, Proxmox, and OpenStack virtualization environments.
19. Conduct research and development of new technologies and develop Proof of Concept demos.
20. Create, maintain, and update all documentation, including procedures and training materials.
21. Contribute to the design, implementation, and management of systems to ensure high availability and performance.
22. Monitor, administer, and maintain the company's platforms.

Requirements

1. Bachelor's Degree (B.S.) in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Engineering from a four-year college or university; or related experience and/or training.
2. Proven experience in a leadership role, with a track record of managing teams and projects effectively.
3. Proficiency with System and Network Automation tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
4. Experience with Python or a similar programming language.
5. Knowledge about DevOps environment.
6. Familiarity with cloud-based solutions.
7. Ability to work independently without direct supervision and willingness to work extended hours if required.
8. Possess a high degree of creativity and latitude in problem-solving.
9. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
10. Previous experience in the telecom, hosting, data center, or internet service provider industry is a plus.
11. Desirable experience with OpenStack, RPKI, DNSSEC, and IPv6.
