Allegro MicroSystems is seeking a highly skilled SQL Server Database Administration Manager to lead the enterprise database team. You will oversee performance, security, and integrity of SQL Server environments across on‑premises and cloud, mentor staff, and collaborate with developers, sysadmin, and stakeholders.

Responsibilities include installation, upgrade patches, performance tuning, HA/DR design, security policy implementation, and backup/testing of recovery plans.

Formación

• Minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience as a SQL Server DBA in a medium to large enterprise environment.
• Expert-level knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server (versions 2008 through current).
• Strong proficiency in writing and optimizing complex T-SQL.
• Experience with HA/DR technologies (Always On Availability Groups, Clustering).
• Familiarity with Azure SQL Database.

Responsabilidades

• Install, configure, upgrade CU patches and manage Microsoft SQL Server environments (on-premises and cloud).
• Proactively monitor database performance, identify bottlenecks, and optimize complex T-SQL queries, indexes, and configurations.
• Design, implement, and maintain high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) solutions including Always On, failover clustering, and standalone servers.
• Implement and manage database security policies, manage user access/permissions, and ensure data encryption and regulatory compliance.
• Oversee routine database backups, test recovery plans, and ensure adherence to RPO/RTO; conduct quarterly drills.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts using PowerShell or T-SQL for routine tasks and monitoring.
• Provide technical guidance and best practices to other DBAs and development teams.
