Job summary

Allegro MicroSystems seeks a highly skilled SQL Server Database Administration Manager to lead our IT/TDS team. You will ensure performance, integrity, and security of enterprise databases, mentor teammates, and collaborate with developers and stakeholders.

You will install, configure, and optimize SQL Server environments, design HA/DR solutions, enforce security, and automate routine tasks to maximize uptime and reliability across on-prem and cloud platforms.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years hands-on SQL Server DBA experience in large enterprises.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT or related field.
• Expert-level SQL Server knowledge with T-SQL optimization.
• Strong HA/DR experience, Always On and clustering.
• PowerShell scripting for automation and database maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, upgrade and manage SQL Server environments (on-prem & cloud).
• Monitor performance, optimize complex T-SQL and indexes.
• Design and maintain HA/DR solutions including failover clustering.
• Manage security, user access, encryption and compliance.
• Oversee backups, test recovery, meet RPO/RTO; quarterly drills.
• Develop automation scripts for routine DBA tasks.
• Mentor and guidance to other DBAs and development teams.
