Cowboy Space Corp. is seeking a Build & Test Engineer to own our hardware-in-the-loop test infrastructure, extending and hardening tools for reuse across multiple flight programs. You will treat engineers as customers and ensure the test stack is reliable and scalable.

Responsibilities include building HITL racks, developing automation for orchestration, and collaborating with flight software, electrical, and systems teams to validate new hardware and software before flight.

Formación

• 3+ years in test infrastructure, embedded software, hardware/software integration, or related field.
• Strong programming in Python and C/C++ for test automation.
• Hands-on testing with physical hardware and lab equipment.
• Experience with embedded interfaces (SPI, I2C, UART, CAN, Ethernet).
• Experience building reusable tools and test infrastructures.

Responsabilidades

• Own design, build-out, and operation of HITL test infrastructure with real flight software and hardware.
• Extend internal test tooling into a reusable platform for multiple flight programs.
• Develop and maintain hardware emulation and simulation for subsystems.
• Create automation for test orchestration, scheduling, and reporting.
• Stand up and maintain HITL test racks and lab equipment interfaces.
• Define interfaces to let flight software and avionics teams add tests.
