Job summary

Algaecal Inc. is seeking a Senior Video Editor to lead the editing of advertising and brand storytelling videos for North American universities and related campaigns.

This remote role supports our expansion into Latin America, collaborating with designers, copywriters, and strategists to deliver high-impact content. You will optimize videos for YouTube, social media, and paid media, apply color grading and sound design, and integrate motion graphics to boost engagement while ensuring on-brand

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional video editing in an agency, media production, or marketing team.
• Advanced Premiere Pro and working knowledge of After Effects, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve.
• Strong storytelling with pacing, audience engagement, and visual impact.
• Fluent English to collaborate with U.S.-based teams.

Responsibilities

• Edit and assemble video content for ads, social media, YouTube, and campaigns.
• Enhance quality with color correction, sound design, and transitions.
• Integrate motion graphics and simple animations to boost engagement.
• Optimize videos for different platforms with correct aspect ratios, pacing, subtitles, and thumbnails.
• Collaborate with designers, copywriters, and strategists to align visuals with marketing goals.
• Manage video files and organize assets, ensuring structured workflows and version control.
• Review edits and refine content based on internal and client feedback before final delivery.
• Stay updated on new editing techniques and platform trends to continuously improve video effectiveness.
• Ensure timely delivery of final assets, accounting for internal and client review steps.
