Job summary

Conexionhr is seeking a Senior Unity VR Engineer to build the client-side infrastructure of our VR training platform. You will own core components, implement reusable client-side frameworks, and collaborate with backend teams to align with server contracts.

This hands-on role requires strong architecture skills, performance optimization, and clear communication in a remote, fast-moving startup. Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in Unity/C#, VR on Android (Quest a plus), and a track record shipping

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional Unity and C# experience.
• Portfolio demonstrating architecture and refactoring of large Unity projects.
• VR development for Android within the last five years; Meta Quest preferred.
• Experience building generic, reusable infrastructure and frameworks.
• Comfort with a defined client-server architecture and established API contracts.
• Strong English communication in remote, culturally diverse teams.
• Interest in using technology to enhance learning and education.

Responsibilities

• Own and drive key components of the Unity VR client architecture so they generalize across training simulations and additional client targets.
• Build client-side infrastructure that connects to the server according to defined contracts and reflects server‑owned state and behavior on the device.
• Co‑design the client‑server API with the backend, defining the data contracts.
• Develop tooling that supports content creators and other developers working on the platform.
• Use AI coding assistants as part of day-to-day development, and build and maintain the pipelines and validation that make their output reliable.
• Make pragmatic architectural decisions and manage technical priorities in a fast-paced startup environment.
