Job summary

CONEXIONHR is seeking a Senior Unity Engineer to build the client-side infrastructure of our training platform. You will work hands-on, defining a scalable Unity-based client that connects to a server according to a defined contract, with performance optimization at its core.

The role emphasizes architecture, reusable infrastructure, and collaboration with backend teams, with a fully remote setup across European hours.

Qualifications

• 5+ years professional Unity and C# experience with shipping complex applications.
• Portfolio showing architecture and refactoring of large Unity projects.
• VR development for Android within the last five years, Meta Quest strongly preferred.
• Experience building generic, reusable infrastructure and frameworks.
• Comfort working within a defined client-server architecture and with established API contracts.
• Proactive and adaptable mindset in a fast-paced startup environment.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills in English in remote, diverse teams.
• Genuine interest in using technology to enhance learning and education.

Responsibilities

• Own and drive key components of the Unity VR client architecture for training simulations and future targets.
• Build client-side infrastructure that connects to the server according to defined contracts and reflects server-owned state on the device.
• Co-design the client-server API with the backend and define data contracts.
• Develop tooling to support content creators and other developers on the platform.
• Use AI coding assistants as part of day-to-day development and maintain pipelines and validation for reliability.
• Make pragmatic architectural decisions and manage technical priorities in a fast-paced startup.
