Job summary

Sovos Compliance is seeking a Senior Program Manager to drive cross-LOB technology programs, partnering with Engineering, LOB stakeholders, and VP sponsors. You will define scope, track milestones in Jira, surface risks, and prepare concise Steerco inputs with data-driven narrative.

The role emphasizes AI-enabled reporting, neutral program ownership across teams, and close collaboration with CoE and engineering leadership to advance governance and deployment practices.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in program management, project management, or a closely related role within a technology or software organization.

Responsibilities

• Own day to day execution of one or more assigned cross-LOB technology programs: AWS cost tracking and optimization, Grafana observability governance, CMT wave adoption, DORA dashboard stabilization, Pipeline Maturity Model gap closure, Quality Gate rollout.
• Maintain accurate, live status in Jira for assigned initiatives: epics, owners, blockers, and target dates, so the cross-LOB portfolio view is always current.
• Identify program-level risks and blockers early and escape to the Program Management Lead with a clear recommendation, not just a flag.
• Coordinate dependencies between groups where a single initiative touches more than one.
• Prepare Steerco-ready inputs for assigned programs: data, trend lines, and a narrative that leads with impact rather than activity.
• Support the Program Management Lead in building the consolidated cross-CoE Steerco deck and briefing materials.
• Respond to ad hoc leadership requests for status with a fast, well-framed answer grounded in live data.
• Work closely with the relevant technical and program leads to keep assigned programs coordinated and moving.
• Operate as a neutral, program-level partner across sponsoring groups and LOBs rather than an advocate for any single one.
• Partner with VP stakeholders and LOB agile leaders to confirm adoption, sequencing, and capacity.
• Maintain program infrastructure for assigned initiatives: planning calendars, milestone tracking, and shared documentation (SharePoint, Confluence, Jira).
• Support governance frameworks by keeping process documentation current and visible.
• Flag opportunities to improve coordination or reduce duplicated effort across sponsoring groups and LOBs.
• Actively use AI tools (including Claude and Claude skills) to accelerate reporting, data synthesis, and status communication for assigned programs.
