Job summary

Sovos is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer in Argentina to design, implement, and manage scalable cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines. You will work at the intersection of automation and AI-assisted workflows, ensuring reliable, high-performing deployments worldwide.

The role requires experience with Docker Swarm/Kubernetes, Terraform, and Azure DevOps, plus collaboration with cross-functional teams. On-call rotation and background checks are part of the process.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field or equivalent experience.
• Proficiency with cloud infrastructure design, deployment pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Experience with Azure DevOps, Docker Swarm, Kubernetes, Terraform and containerization technologies.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement auto-scalable Docker Swarm or Kubernetes clusters using Terraform for infrastructure management.
• Create and maintain Azure DevOps pipelines for CI/CD, ensuring smooth and efficient software releases.
• Develop and execute deployment scripts for health checks, alerts, and provisioning, leveraging AI tools to improve efficiency.
• Oversee configuration and management of application and infrastructure settings, collaborating with development and operations teams.
• Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for configuration, release, and deployment processes.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to software releases and deployments, partnering with Product and Scrum teams.
• Serve as a thought leader on the team, driving innovation and best practices in DevOps and automation.

More Specifically, You Will

• Design and implement auto-scalable Docker Swarm or Kubernetes clusters using Terraform for infrastructure management.


• Create and maintain Azure DevOps pipelines for continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD), ensuring smooth and efficient software releases.


• Develop and execute deployment scripts for health checks, alerts, and infrastructure provisioning, leveraging AI tools to improve efficiency and reliability.


• Oversee configuration and management of application and infrastructure settings, collaborating with development and operations teams to streamline deployment processes.


• Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for configuration, release, and deployment processes.


• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to software releases and deployments, partnering with Product and Scrum teams to meet group needs and goals.


• Serve as a thought leader on the team, helping drive innovation, new ideas, and best practices in DevOps and automation.

What You Bring to Sovos

• You've built solid experience in DevOps engineering roles, with a proven track record of designing and managing cloud infrastructure and deployment pipelines.


• Demonstrated proficiency in DevOps engineering principles and practices, typically gained through a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, related field, or equivalent experience.


• Proficiency in Azure DevOps, Docker Swarm, Kubernetes, deployment pipelines, and containerization technologies.


• Proficiency in configuration management tools (e.g., Puppet), CI/CD principles, and best practices.


• Expertise in deployment scripting and automation (e.g., PowerShell, Python) and infrastructure as code (IaC) concepts using Terraform.


• Comfort with AI-assisted workflows and leveraging AI tools to deliver effectively and efficiently.


• Effective problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to resolve complex deployment issues independently and drive projects forward.


• Willingness to work off-hours when necessary and participate in an on-call rotation.


• Due to client contractual obligations, the successful candidate will be asked to clear a background check upon hire.
