Job summary

Built is seeking a Sr. Manager of Software Engineering to lead 1–3 engineering teams in Argentina, overseeing 5–15 engineers and coaching managers. You will drive complex architectural decisions, align with product goals, and ensure delivery with quality and speed.

You will partner with Principal Engineers and Product Managers to translate problems into technical solutions, maintain a high-performance culture, and deliver reliable outcomes with Built’s engineering standards.

Qualifications

• 8–12 years of hands-on software development experience with 2–5 years managing software engineering teams including managers.
• Technical depth equivalent to a Sr. Staff Software Engineer with architectural judgment.
• Track record building and scaling high-performing SaaS engineering teams.
• Strong Agile delivery experience; Scrum Master experience is a meaningful differentiator.
• Full-stack development experience; prior SaaS experience strongly preferred.
• Excellent cross-functional communication with product, design, and business stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead 1–3 engineering teams as technical leader and delivery accountability.
• Manage other engineering managers and develop them as leaders.
• Drive complex architectural decisions and address technical debt with rigor.
• Convert product problems into end-to-end deliverables with engineering teams.
• Collaborate with Principal Engineers and Product Managers on documented technical solutions.
• Deliver on time with integrity and maintain Built's engineering bar.
